Danville Parks and Recreation’s Music on Main concert series will continue in the River District at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, with the bluegrass band The New Habit.
The hard-driving, young bluegrass band consists of Josh Marlowe on guitar, Brandon Dickerson on banjo,
Brent Dickerson on mandolin and Dillon Clements on bass.
The concert is free and will be held at Main Street Plaza at 111 Main St. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the Carrington Pavilion at 629 Craghead St.
The Music on Main series is in its fifth year and takes place on the second and fourth Thursday of the month June through August. All shows start at 6:30 p.m. and are held at the Main Street Plaza.
The series will conclude on Aug. 23 with Johnny-O and the Jump Out Boys performing old school, Chicago blues.
