Danville Parks and Recreation is looking for families, churches, civic groups, businesses and/or families interested in handing out candy during this year’s Market Monster Mash on Oct. 31.

There is no charge to enter a vehicle and decorated trucks can be entered into the best-decorated trunk contest. The winner will earn a cash prize. Trunks must provide their own candy/prizes for approximately 5,000 people.

Likewise, the Recreation Department is accepting applications for vendors to attend the event. Vendor fees are $15 for non-profits and $30 for all others. To register a trunk or reserve a vendor space, visit www.PlayDanvilleVA.com/MonsterMash or call 434-793-4636.

The Market Monster Mash will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Danville Community Market on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Activities include trunk-or-treating, pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing, a slime station, face painting, rock climbing wall, caricatures, a sensory tent, concession vendors, Danville Fire Department’s smoke house, and many more Halloween activities.
