The Danville Fire Department Responded to a structure fire at 613 Betts St.at approximately 8pm. Upon arrival units found a single family residence with heavy fire coming from the roof and the left side. With the help of information given by neighbors it was quickly determined that the structure was unoccupied. Crews pulled multiple attack lines and began an exterior attack due to the fact that the buildings structural integrity had been compromised. The ladder truck was also utilized in the knock down the main body of the fire. Crews were on the scene for three and a half hours with one engine company still on the scene at the time of this release watching for any flair ups. Four engines , one ladder truck, a Safety Officer and one Chief Officer responded. No injuries were reported and the cause of this fire is under investigation.
