Police located the red Chevrolet pickup truck with VA tag VDK-4277. Moore remains at large.

Danville Police responded to 1307 S. Boston Rd. at approximately 3:45pm for a subject who had been shot. Officers located a 29 year-old white male in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to SOVAH Health Danville for treatment where he was listed in serious condition. The initial information indicated that this was not a random act and the victim and suspect likely knew one another. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was obtained for Matthew Dustin Moore age 30, also of Danville. The warrant was for malicious wounding. Moore was still at large at the time of this release. He may be operating a red 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck with VA tag VDK-4277. The vehicle is described as having heavy front-end damage. The investigation is active and ongoing.
