Antwain Maurice Jones has been charged with the murder of David Bernard Stewart. A grand jury issued indictments against Jones on Monday for first degree murder, (two counts) use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and malicious wounding. Jones was extradited to Danville from Texas and is being held in the Danville City Jail without bond. These charges stem from 12-23-2018 when officers responded to Downing Dr. and found a 23 year-old female and David Bernard Stewart suffering from gunshot wounds. Stewart died from his injuries and the second victim survived.
