The West Main Street entrance to Ballou Park will be closed from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 14 for the Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza. All participants should use the Park Avenue entrance to enter Ballou Park; signage and volunteers will be on site directing traffic.

The egg hunt, free and open to children ages 12 and under, will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will begin at Shelter No. 6, which is near the baseball diamond. Parking is limited. Participants can expect a short walk to the shelter from the parking area.

The Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza will include an egg hunt, themed activities, and photos with the Easter Bunny. In the event of bad weather, activities will be moved inside Ballou Recreation Center. Any announcements regarding weather-related changes will be made on Friday, April 12. The egg hunt will be divided into segments based on age; an inclusive hunt, sponsored by Center for Pediatric Therapies, will also take place, however, registration is closed.

For more information, call Danville Parks and Recreation’s Community Recreation Office at 434-799-5150.
