The Danville Police Department responded to a call for a person who had been shot to the 1000 Blk. of Lanier Ave. at 12:50 PM this afternoon. When officers arrived on scene they found a victim inside a house suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. First aid was rendered to the victim, but he ultimately was pronounced deceased at the residence. The victim has been identified as Caleb Henry Morris, age 25, from Danville. There is no suspect information to release at this time. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
