Music on Main returns to Main Street Plaza this week for a summer full of music down by the river.
The free music series kicks off Thursday, June 13, with the jazz-stylings of Small Town Orchestra. All shows start at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at 111 Main St., adjacent to JTI Fountain. In the event of rain, concerts will be moved to the Carrington Pavilion, which is located at 667 Craghead St.
This year’s series will feature two shows a month June through August. Show dates include:
- June 13 – Small Town Orchestra; jazz
- June 27 – Wayne Euliss; Elvis tribute show
- July 11 – Cruize Control Band; beach, boogie, and blues sponsored by Cardiology Consultants of Danville
- July 25 – Jus’ Cauze Band; bluegrass
- August 8 – Define Jazz; jazz
- August 22 – Rivermist Band; classic rock and variety sponsored by Planet Fitness
