Danville Parks and Recreation’s Music on Main concert series will continue in the River District at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, with Elvis tribute artist Wayne Euliss.
The outdoor concert is free and will be held in the Main Street Plaza at 111 Main St., adjacent to the JTI Fountain. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Euliss is a Guilford County, N.C., resident who has been bringing the late “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” to life for some 10 years. He performs at many festivals and theaters. Clients say Euliss has a dead-on Elvis voice. He also bears an amazing likeness to Elvis in looks and stage presence. His costumes are custom made by B & K Costume Co. the official costume provider to Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc.
The Music on Main series is in its sixth year and takes place on the second and fourth Thursday of the month June through August. All shows start at 6:30 p.m. and are held at the Main Street Plaza.
In the event of rain, concerts will be moved to the Carrington Pavilion, which is located at 667 Craghead St.
The remaining shows in the series are:
- July 11 – Cruize Control Band; beach, boogie, and blues sponsored by Cardiology Consultants of Danville
- July 25 – Jus’ Cauze Band; bluegrass
- August 8 – Define Jazz; jazz
- August 22 – Rivermist Band; classic rock and variety sponsored by Planet Fitness
The Main Street Plaza parking lot will close at 2 p.m. on each day there is a show.
