Beginning today, the Danville Farmers’ Market will extend its hours of operation on Wednesday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The market offers locally grown fruits and vegetables, beef, pork, chicken, baked goods and handmade gifts for purchase.
The Wednesday afternoon market began earlier this month and will continue through August.
Located in the Community Market building at 629 Craghead St., the farmers market also is open 7:30 a.m. to noon every Saturday from May through October.
The farmers' market accepts SNAP/EBT Cards for fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods, plants, seeds and more.
