A Danville man died in a single vehicle crash this morning.
At approximately 1:08 am, Danville Police and EMS personnel responded to the 1100 block of Halifax Rd. for a motorcycle crash. Upon arrival they located a 2001 Suzuki that was traveling westbound when it left the roadway. The operator was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, and alcohol is believed to have been a factor. His name will be released once family notifications have been made.
Halifax Rd. is blocked between Kent St. and Booth Rd. while personnel continue to investigate the crash.
