On Wednesday 10-09-19 at approximately 9:15 pm, the Danville Police Department responded to 2980 West Main Street, Juniors Convenience Market, in reference to a reported robbery.
After speaking with the victim and witnesses the investigation revealed a male described as white, wearing a dark-colored shirt, dark-colored pants, and a camouflage facemask, robbed the victim at gunpoint. He was brandishing a silver handgun.
The suspect demanded money and fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
There were no reported injuries during the course of this robbery.
During the course of the investigation, the Danville Police Department became aware of a similar robbery occurring earlier in the day in Rockingham County, NC. The Danville Police Department is working closely with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office on these incidents.
