On Monday, 10-21-2019, at 8:19 pm , The Danville Fire Department responded to an Out building fire. The Fire was located in the 1700 block of Blair Loop Rd in the Westover Hills community. The building was approximately 1000 foot off of the roadway. Engine 6, from the Westover Station, was the first Engine on the scene and reported heavy fire showing. Long hose lays had to be deployed to reach the fire.The fire was knocked down in about 25 minutes and was under control in just over an hour.We spent about 2 1/2 hours on scene. The building was a total loss. No cause has been determined.
The Danville Fire Department responded with 15 firefighters, 3 Engines, 1 ladder truck, 1 safety officer and a command vehicle. The Danville Life saving crew assisted on the scene with EMS standby. The Danville Police assisted with Traffic control.
