Danville Police arrested a woman in connection with a Christmas Day shooting.
Danville Police arrested Zacya S. Joyette, age 19, for the aggravated malicious wounding of a 22-year-old man on that occurred on Christmas Day in the 700 block of Grove Street.
The victim provided limited information at the time of the shooting. After further investigation, police learned this was a domestic-related incident. Joyette was arrested on December 31, 2019, in Danville without incident. She was initially held in the Danville City jail without a bond.

Danville Police are investigating a shooting in the 700 block of Grove Street that left a 22-year-old Danville man injured.
Police responded to a 911 call for a gunshot victim at 1:45 p.m. on Christmas afternoon. He was transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his arm. There is no suspect information at this time.
