[ARCHIVED] Cabin Fever music series continues Saturday

Danville Harvest Jubilee's Cabin Fever Music Series continues on Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Community Market with the Cat5 Band performing a wide range of music.

The band consists of a group of professional musicians that have come together with a common purpose to provide the best music possible to audiences. They are Jerry Thomas West, vocals and guitar; Camron Dudley, vocals, drums and percussion; Glen Tippett, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist; Hugh Blanton, vocals and bass guitar; and Tim Sidden, vocals, keyboards and harmonica.

West was a member of the Band of Oz and the 80s rock band Sugar Creek. Dudley, Tippett and Blanton were members of the band Jim Quick and Coastline. Blanton also was an original member of the Entertainers, and he was with The Breeze Band. Sidden performed with the Band Hip Pocket.

Doors to the Community Market, located at 629 Craghead St., open at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $8 at the door. Outside food is permitted; beverages will be available on site. A limited number of reserved tables are available for purchase.

The series is sponsored by JTI, Coors Light, City of Danville, Coca-Cola, URW Federal Credit Union, Steve Padgett Danville Honda / Performance Off Road, Canteen, Barefoot Wine, Centra Medical Group, and Comfort Inn and Suites.

The remaining shows in the series are:

  • Feb. 1 - Matt Boswell and the Hillbilly Blues Band
  • Feb. 29 - The Retro Band
