Danville Police have arrested a person who was involved in the homicide of Melvin Smith. Police arrested this individual on unrelated charges and we will identify the person when we make charges related to the homicide. The investigation is still active and the case continues to develop.
Danville Police along with several of our partner law enforcement agencies worked on this case late into last night. We appreciate the commitment from these partner agencies and the cooperation we continue to receive from the public during this investigation.
