[ARCHIVED] City Treasurer’s office close to the public

The Danville City Treasurer’s Office announced today that its office is closed to the public until further notice to ensure the wellness of customers and staff amid the new coronavirus crisis.

Staff will address citizens’ needs by phone during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Payments for taxes, dog tags, inoperable vehicle decals, etc., can be made by the following methods:

  • USPS mail – send to City Treasurer, P.O. Box 1565, Danville, VA 24543.
  • Via phone (debit/credit card payments). A service charge applies still.
  • Pay by check or money order payable to the City of Danville using the drop box located in the drive-thru area of the Charles H. Harris Financial Service Center.

Receipts will be mailed.
