On July 09, 2011 at approximately 11:45PM, Danville Police Officers responded to the area of the 1000 block of Halifax Rd in reference a fight. A 42-year-old victim was found on Kent Street suffering from multiple blows from a baseball bat. The victim was transported to Danville Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The initial investigation led to suspects who were known to the victim. After further investigation, 29-year-old Vanessa Leigh Rose and 33-year-old Robert Jackson Toone were charged with aggravated malicious wounding. Each were arrested this morning and placed with the Danville City Jail.
The Investigation by the Danville Police Department is continuing.
