Last month, a Danville grand jury indicted Guren L. Clemons and Domonic D. Fitzgerald with first-degree murder, robbery and related firearms charges for shooting Caleb Morris on Lanier Avenue in 2019.
Clemons, age 25, is from Danville and was incarcerated in Charlotte County, Virginia, on unrelated charges when law enforcement served him with these indictments. He is currently held in the Danville City Jail without bond.
Fitzgerald, age 29, is also from Danville and he remains at large. Danville Police ask that anyone with information on his location contact us at the information listed below or by calling 911
Detectives continued to follow leads in this case and worked closely with the Commonwealth’s Attorney Office in order to bring these charges.

The Danville Police Department responded a call for a person who had been shot to the 1000 Blk. of Lanier Avenue at 12:50 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene they found a victim inside a house suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
First aid was rendered to the victim, but he ultimately was pronounced deceased at the residence. The victim has been identified as Caleb Henry Morris, age 25, from Danville. There is no suspect information to release at this time. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
