Effective Monday, March 1, the Danville Transit System will offer expanded same day service hours for all reservation-based operations via online reservations.
Reservation-based operations include the Reserve A Ride service, Handivan operation, and Senior Transportation program.
Passengers can visit www.danvilletransit.com to complete an online reservation form and obtain additional information to receive service the same day a trip is requested at certain times. Same day service will be provided from 8 a.m. until 12:30 a.m., Monday through Saturday.
The primary goal for offering same day service is to improve customer convenience and enhance service efficiency levels. The one-way trip fare for same day service for persons who are not disabled is $4 and $2 for persons with disabilities.
