After receiving hundreds upon hundreds of team name submissions from community members and fans, Danville Baseball Club has set a date to announce the new team identity. The new era of baseball and entertainment for Danville and the Southside will officially be revealed on Tuesday, March 16, at 10 a.m.
“For the first time i n 25 years our team name will represent our community, not a parent club’s brand. This will be our identity. Our name, our logo, our colors, our jerseys. We cannot wait to give every member of this community a reason to be proud to call us The Home Team,” said General Manager Austin Scher.
Danville Baseball Club’s 2021 season will begin on Thursday, June 3, as the Pulaski River Turtles visit Danville and Dan Daniel Memorial Park on Appalachian League Opening Night. The fan-friendly 2021 schedule features 21 of 27 home games on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday dates.
