Police Department promotes three officers

The Danville Police Department is pleased to announce the promotion of three officers today that will be effective July 1.  

Chief Scott Booth promoted officers to the ranks of lieutenant, sergeant and corporal in a ceremony held in the City Council Chambers.  

During his remarks, Chief Booth said to the new supervisors, “I am proud of the three of you, and I am proud of this department. There is a lot of great work that the women and men of this department do here every day. When I promote people, I expect that great work to continue and with the three of you, I know that it will.” 

The officers promoted were: 

Lieutenant

  • Jonathan Epps 

Sergeant

  • Richard Marlowe 

Corporal

  • David Branch
