The Danville Police Department is pleased to announce the promotion of 4 officers that will be effective September 1, 2021.
Chief Scott Booth promoted officers to the ranks of captain, lieutenant, sergeant and corporal in a ceremony held in the City Council Chambers on August 30, 2021.
During his remarks, Chief Booth said to the new supervisors, “I am proud of the four of you and I am proud of this department. There is a lot of great work that the women and men of this department do here every day. When I promote people, I expect that great work to continue and with the three of you, I know that it will.”
The officers promoted were:

Lieutenant
• Samuel Bray
Sergeant
• Dustin Shively
Corporal
• Jonathan Masi
