[ARCHIVED] Festival In The Park returns this weekend

For the first time since 2019, Danville will celebrate Festival in the Park—the three-day event that celebrates and encourages the practice of the arts and togetherness of the community. Although the COVID-19 pandemic put the festivities on hold for two full years, the Festival in the Park board has worked diligently to prepare Festival in the Park’s return for 2022.

There is an abundance of events and activities happening at Festival in the Park in 2022—including live musical entertainment, amusement rides, a movie in the park, a car show, a live art mural, and more.

“We’ve been planning how to bring back Festival in the Park better than ever,” said Jason Bookheimer, Festival in the Park Board President. “We’re excited to have so many activities and events planned and have so much support surrounding us.”

Wristband night is Friday, May 13. For only $20, patrons get unlimited rides. Admission to the festival is free.

Crafter’s Row, featuring arts and crafts from our local community, will be open only on Saturday, May 14, this year.

Festival in the Park is operating:

  • Friday, May 13: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (with live entertainment)
  • Saturday, May 14: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (with live entertainment)
  • Sunday, May 15: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
