On Saturday, September 24th 2022, at 8:00 am, the Danville Police Department (DPD) is hosting our 2nd Annual 5K with 5-0. The race will start and finish at the new DPD headquarters. The address for the DPD headquarters is 1 Community Way, Danville, VA 24541 directly off Memorial Drive.
Our local DPD offices and staff will take part in the race. This event is designed to promote healthy living and self-care within our community. We take great pride in connecting with our citizenry and continuing to build upon our existing positive relationships as well as create new ones. We invite the entire community to join us. Participants can either run or walk. We would like to thank The Brick running store for their partnership for this event. All proceeds will go to DPD Community Relations.
The 5K will be comprised of flat and hilly surfaces making it the perfect combination for a challenging and rewarding race. The $25 registration fee includes a t-shirt, police swag bag, snacks, drinks, and your bib. Registration to include the T-shirt ends on September 9, 2022, at 11:59 PM. Runners/walkers can also sign up the day of the event, but it will not include a t-shirt. There will be prizes for first place, second place, and third place for the top women and men groups.
