[ARCHIVED] Riverview Rotary calls for parade entries

Danville’s Riverview Rotary Club is seeking entrants for their annual Riverview Rotary Christmas Parade. The 2022 parade will take place in downtown Danville on December 4 at 5 p.m. The application deadline is November 10 at 5 p.m. Applications submitted after this date will incur a late fee.

Entrants can craft their own parade experience by entering with any of these options:

  • Commercial float/decorated trailer (entered by a business; no fee)
  • Non-commercial float/decorated trailer (entered by a non-profit; no fee)
  • Marching unit
  • Performance group (JROTC, dance groups, etc.)
  • Active emergency/public safety vehicles (first vehicle free; additional vehicles $25/each)
  • Solo vehicle (applies to each vehicle not classified as a float—drivers must be 18 years of age or older. All vehicles are $50/each)
  • Motorcycle/off-road group (six motorcycles/machines for $50)

This year’s theme is “Christmas Around the World” and all entrants are required to adhere to the theme.

The Blue & Gold Marching Machine of North Carolina A&T University, sponsored by Caesars Entertainment, will be performing in this year’s parade.
