A long-standing tradition, the Farmers’ Market will open for the season on Saturday, May 6, with vendors selling goods each Saturday through October at the Community Market on Craghead Street.
The market’s hours are 7:30 a.m. to noon. More than 60 vendors will be selling fresh local produce, baked goods, and homemade gifts. For the opening day, free tomato plants will be given to the first 500 customers through the door.

The opening day will be held in conjunction with the Make Danville Shine Home Expo, which will open at 8 a.m. in the Community Market building.
In July and August, the market will also be open on Wednesday afternoons.
