Shortly after 6:00 pm yesterday evening Danville Police responded to the 800 block of North Main Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival they discovered an unresponsive black female lying in a driveway suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additional details will be released when it is appropriate. The investigation is active and ongoing.
