[ARCHIVED] Outdoor concert on Thursday to feature Jus Cauz Bluegrass Band

The second outdoor concert of Centra Medical Group’s series of Enchanted Evenings will be held Thursday at the main stage in Ballou Park.

Jus Cauz Bluegrass Band will perform along with legendary banjo player Larry Hall from Roanoke. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Families are encouraged to pack a picnic basket and bring the entire family for a relaxing evening in the park.

The event is free and open to the public. If there is rain, the show will move into the Ballou Park Recreation Center. Enchanted Evenings are held on the third Thursday of every month. Jazz artist Michael Thompson will perform on June 21.

Centra Medical Group also sponsors summer outdoor movies. The first movie of the summer will be presented on May 25 in Ballou Park. The movie title will be made available on the Facebook page of the city of Danville Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department – Facebook.com/DanvilleParksRecreationAndTourism.

Other movies are scheduled for June 8 (Carrington Pavilion), June 22 (Ballou Park), July 13 (Downtown River District), July 20 (Ballou Park) and Aug. 10 (American Legion Stadium).

All shows are free and held on Friday evenings from 9 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.
