On May 26, 2012, at approximately 11:03 AM, the Danville Police Department, Fire Department and Life Saving Crew responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a juvenile pedestrian. The investigation determined that a 2005 Hyundai being driven by a female of Pittsylvania County was traveling east on Christopher Lane. At that time, a juvenile pedestrian of Danville, VA ran across Christopher Lane from the north side of street into the path of the vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to the Danville Regional Medical Center emergency room with non-life threatening injuries. The driver did not suffer any injuries, and the vehicle had minimal damage. At this time, there will be no charges filed, and the investigation is continuing.
