On 06-02-12 at approx 3:18 p.m., police units responded to the reported robbery of The Family Dollar Store located at 1457 South Boston Road. The clerk told police that one black male subject entered the business and robbed the clerk. The subject took an undisclosed amount of money from the register. The clerk was not injured during the incident. The suspect was described as a bald black male, 5’9” to 6’1” and approximately 185 lbs to 200 lbs, wearing a tan shirt and tan pants. A search of the area was conducted by Danville Police including K9 units and the investigation is ongoing.
