The Centra Summer Outdoor Movie series moves to a new venue on Friday, Aug. 10, with the movie “The Rookie” being shown at Legion Field in Dan Daniel Memorial Park.
The Danville Braves are co-sponsoring the movie.
“The Rookie” is a 2002 sports drama based on the true story of Jim Morris, who had a brief, but famous Major League Baseball career in 1999. The film stars Dennis Quaid, Rachel Griffiths, Jay Hernandez and Brian Cox.
All movies are free and held on Friday evenings from 9 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. Centra Medical Group is the sponsor.
