The right-turn lane off Franklin Turnpike to Piney Forest Road will be closed for three days this week to allow for water and gas service connections to be installed for the new Walgreens pharmacy.
Weather permitting, the work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Aug. 15, and continue through Friday, Aug. 17.
Traffic must pass around the blocked lane, but will be able to make the right turn from Franklin Turnpike onto Piney Forest Road.
The lane will be open for use at night.
The work will be performed by a subcontractor for the water and gas division of Danville Utilities.
