Posted on: August 23, 2012[ARCHIVED] 'Scenic river' designation for portion of Dan River a step closer
The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation recommends that the 14-mile stretch of the Dan River that runs from the Berry Hill Bridge in Pittsylvania County to Abreau-Grogan Park along Memorial Drive in Danville be designated a "scenic river."
