[ARCHIVED] Danville's first sheriff dies at 90

Charles J. Smith, who served as the first sheriff of Danville, the High Constable for the city and paved the way for the Good News Jail and Prison Ministries to work with inmates in the Danville City Jail, died Monday. Smith was 90.
